55 and over Communities in Charlotte with the most amenities

Most of the communities in the Charlotte region will at least have a pool and small clubhouse and maybe that's all you need but if you're looking for MORE, there are a few communities you should consider. Namely, Sun City Carolina Lakes (Indian Land, SC), Trilogy Lake Norman (Denver), Bailey's Glen (Cornelius), Treetops (Lancaster, SC), Carolina Orchards (Fort Mill, SC), Cresswind (East Charlotte) and Regency at the Palisades (southwest Charlotte). With these, you're more likely to find multiple clubs to join, tennis, pool, pickleball, bocce ball, an onsite restaurant or bar perhaps, cycling and walking trails, etc.

Charlotte 55+ Communities Alternatives

For some of you, being in an active adult community may end up putting you just a little outside of your price range. Truth is, HOA dues are typically higher in these communities because of extra common areas to take care of, full yard care that they provide for the homeowner, amenities, etc. If you find that the prices in the Charlotte 55+ communities are a little more than you can handle, a ranch-style or master down plan in a non-55+ neighborhood (but still with amenities) might be the best bet. If this sounds like you, feel free to view some ranch or master down plans now.
