When it comes to selling a home with the services of a real estate agent, I cannot stress enough the fact that not all agents or companies are created the same. There is a HUGE difference between how agents market homes, their understanding of home buyer tendencies and patterns, their use of proper pricing strategies, their experience with staging and preparation, negotiation techniques, reputation in the real estate community, and on and on.

What we charge/Our commission rate:

Traditionally speaking, real estate fees have been considered to be about 6% give or take (3% to the listing company and 3% to the company representing the buyer). Fees that real estate companies charge are not 'fixed' throughout the industry (that would be against anti-trust laws) however, and are always considered to be negotiable. Now, whether or not an individual company chooses to negotiate their own commission is totally dependent upon their own policies. Nowadays, you have companies that charge set fees, differing percentages, or even a combination of the two or the addition of a retainer/marketing fee perhaps. And with those varying commission, you also will see a wide range of services offered (or neglected).

At Hendrix Properties, our services are always FULL Service and our commissions are always NEGOTIABLE. While we might start at 6% as a baseline, we can often come down based on the condition of the property, how the home shows, the willingness of the home seller to take our suggestions, whether or not they also have a home to sell, if they're a past client, price of the home, etc. If you are looking for a company that will absolutely do the best job possible AND have some flexibility in their commissions, don't be afraid to reach out to us.
